Domain

VERSION 2 (8) - The luminous Emma Watson in Teen Vogue. Colors: rich, deep gem colors of purple, blue, turquoise, and pink.

THE NAME - Thornroses was inspired by a fanfiction story I read by the wonderful Alicia Blade, who is absolutely fantastic when it comes to Sailor Moon fanfiction. Her well-lengthed story, The House on Thornrose Lane: A Grimm Tale was one of the best (as well as a favorite) stories I'd ever read. It combined what I loved: fairytales and SM. I also have a deep love for flowers, because they are part of nature and they inspire beautiful things to happen.

THE HISTORY - Geocities was first home to Lovestruck and then on June 19th 2006, I was hosted by Michi. About 2 months later, I applied to host my domain at Audrey & Kayla, the duo of Lazy-Whore.Com and I was accepted! On August 12th, 2006, Midnight-Wishes.Org was born, but all good things come to an end. Then on January 15th, 2009, I moved to IwhiC.com until I changed to So Pink on June 28th, 2009, which last until December 27th, 2009. And now, since January 23rd, 2010, I have been with the fabulous Bubble Hosting, which is how I welcome you to Thornroses (est. 011509) and as they say, the rest is history. <3

Past Domains/Sites

Midnight-Wishes.org ; August 12th, 2006 - January 14th, 2009
It was my very first domain, registered on August 12th, 2006. I adored the name because to me, it represented something deep and magical. At midnight is when special, out-of-this-world things happen - for some, it's inspiration in the middle of the night; for others, it's an amazing time where they'll experience things that aren't normally there in the day. And at night, you make wishes - things that your heart desires the most.

MW was my baby. I've had a lot of history with web design ever since I first got a computer which was about ten years ago, give or take. I have an infamous past of not being able to be committed to things like these. It was my hope. Midnight Wishes represented: me, my life and everything I want/dream/wish for in life.

Unfortunately, I simply grew out of this domain (though I still love the name) and wanted a fresh start.

Lovestruck ; June 10th-August 12th, 2006
I am a gigantic romantic at heart. I adore fairytales, romance, and happily ever afters. This name just stuck to me and I wish I had been able to register it as a domain, but sadly, it was taken.

Layout History

These aren't technically correct, but eh, what the hey.

VERSION 1 (7) - A lovely rose. Colors used were pinks, purple, indigo, and gray.

VERSION 6 - Midnight Wishes. Features stock of a girl with red balloons and for some reason, I just loved it. It wasn't a picture of some famous person; just a simple photograph. Used reds, browns, blacks, grays mainly.

VERSION 3/4/5 - Midnight Wishes. These were skins of three of my favorite obsessions: Sailor Moon, Grey's Anatomy and Harry Potter (the trio). At the moment, the skins are on hold so I can re-organize everything.

VERSION 2 - Lovestruck. This version features a model I found; not quite sure what her name is, but I really liked the scenery, the colors and whatnot. The colors are golden orange-yellow, jade green and dark cobalt blue.

VERSION 1 - Lovestruck. This featured the cast from the surprisingly mega-hit DCOM, High School Musical and one of the lead actress, Vanessa Anne Hudgens. I think we all fell in love with the squeaky cleanliness - from either the movie and/or the music, even if we don't want to admit it. For me, this was brainchild of my unhealthy obsession. The colors were a dark/bright-ish turquiose and a dark sunflower yellow.

VERSION 0 - Lovestruck. This is actually the original layout, but it was just so complicated for me to use that I decided against actually putting content in it and using it. The homepage features Keira Knightly, Emma Watson and Irina (something), a Russian ballerina. The other pages which have the real layout featured Keiko Kitagawa, a Japanese model and actress and the colors were bright green and pink.
